چکیده
Abstract Elucidating electrokinetic stability by which surface charges regulate toxins interaction with erythrocytes is crucial for understanding the cell functionality. Electrokinetic properties of human upon treatment Vipoxin, phospholipase A2 (PLA2) and Vipoxin acidic component (VAC), isolated from Vipera ammodytes meridionalis venom were studied using particle microelectrophoresis. PLA2 treatments alter osmotic fragility erythrocyte membranes. The increased cells viper presented zeta potential before sedimentation during electric field applied preventing aggregation cells. Lipid peroxidation low dose toxin-treated shows reduced LP products compared to untreated apparent proton efflux conductivity assays are performed effectiveness PLA2?>?Vipoxin>VAC discussed. reported results open perspectives a further investigation membrane after shed light on molecular mechanisms driving inflammation neurodegenerative diseases

Regulation of Membrane Flexibility in Human Erythrocytes.
We have used spin-labels to detect prostaglandin E induced changes in erythrocyte membranes. The observed changes in spin-label resonance spectra can be mimicked in erythrocyte ghosts by loading them with cAMP or cGMP. These changes can also be observed by adding either of these cyclic nucleotides to intact cells. This entry of cyclic nucleotides into intact cells is blocked by an inhibitor of ...
متن کاملComparison of Characteristics of Human Amniotic Membrane and Human Adipose Tissue Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells
BACKGROUND Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are ideal candidates for treatment of diseases. Amniotic membranes are an inexpensive source of MSCs (AM-MSC) without any donor site morbidity in cell therapy. Adipose tissue derived stem cells (ASCs) are also suitable cells for cell therapy. There is discrepancy in CD271 expression among MSCs from different sources. In this study, the characteristics...
متن کاملRole of membrane lipids in cold agglutination of human erythrocytes.
The membrane lipid fluidity of normal human erythrocytes was modified by enrichment and depletion in cholesterol, and the expression of I and SP1 antigens was assayed by quantitative hemagglutination from 4 degrees to 24 degrees C by use of a continuous flow system. Below 16 degrees--18 degrees C, cholesterol enrichment increased and cholesterol depletion decreased percent agglutination. As tem...
متن کاملHow Operational Parameters and Membrane Characteristics Affect the Performance of Electrodialysis Reversal Desalination Systems: The State of the Art*
Operating parameters and membrane characteristics strongly affect the performance of electrodialysis reversal systems. The most impactful factors are applied voltage, flow rate, temperature, initial feed composition, and ion exchange membrane characteristics; the pH of the feed also has an effect, although to a lesser extent. To determine more precisely how all of these factors impact performan...
متن کاملMembrane mechanical properties of ATP-depleted human erythrocytes.
Although the relations between the metabolic state and the mechanical properties of human red blood cells (RBC) continue to be of current interest, literature reports in this area are not in agreement. The present investigation was designed to determine several intrinsic mechanical properties of human RBC membranes before and after metabolic depletion via incubation at 37 degrees C for 24 hr. U...
